SEO, AEO and GEO

Found on Google. Named in the AI answers.

Clearly Seen is an SEO and AEO/GEO practice for UK businesses. Run by Hamza Suleman, trading as Clearly Seen.

The work is aimed at one thing: getting you found on Google, named and cited in AI answers, with the right pages ranking.

We don't promise rankings, enquiries, or a mention in any answer engine.

What the work is

SEO

SEO is search engine optimisation. It is the work of making a page a clear, accurate match for the searches people already type.

AEO

AEO is answer engine optimisation. It is the work of structuring those pages so an answer engine has a clear, accurate source to quote.

GEO

GEO is generative engine optimisation. It is the same standard, applied to generative answers.

We do not promise a place in search results, a traffic figure, or a mention in any answer engine.

Who we work with

We work with UK businesses in any sector. We have no client results to show yet.

The work is for UK businesses. These are examples of who it is for, not a client list.

B2B SaaS

The public description of the product has to stay accurate.

Law firms

The public description of the firm has to stay accurate.

How an answer is chosen

An answer engine can quote a page when that page states a fact in plain words and matches the question a person asked. It still chooses for itself. We do not control the choice, and we do not claim a share of answers for any business.

How it works

  1. You write to us. Name the business and the sites. Please don't send personal details about your customers, patients or clients.
  2. We read the public pages.
  3. We check how your business shows up when customers ask search engines and AI assistants about what you do.
  4. You get that note in writing. A free check does not create a client relationship.

The audit and the free check are not offered to law firms.

What we check

The public pages

The words a business already publishes.

The same story on each site

Whether that description stays accurate when the business has more than one website.

The public answers

What an answer tool says back, in public, when it is asked about that business.

A sample of the written check

Example only. This is the shape of the note. It is not a client's report, and it is not a result.

What the note contains

  • The public pages that were read.
  • The questions that were asked.
  • What the public answers said.
  • The fixes Hamza would write, each with a page address.

Facts and figures

Industry figures about search and AI. None of these are results of our work.

UK

UK adults aged 16+ (54%) and UK online adults (75%). Ofcom survey of 7,533 adults, Sep–Nov 2025. Self-reported. This is use of AI tools, not a share of search.

54%

Over half of UK adults (54%) now use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot or Gemini (Ofcom, 2026). Three in four UK online adults read AI search summaries at least some of the time (Ofcom, 2026).

Ofcom, 2 April 2026

UK Google searches in a web browser, January to April 2026. A panel estimate. The Google app is not included.

69.5%

From January to April 2026, 69.5% of UK Google searches in a web browser ended without a click (SparkToro, using Similarweb clickstream panel data).

SparkToro, 17 June 2026

Similarweb

UK web visits, January to August 2025. Visits, not people. Browser traffic only.

1.8 billion

ChatGPT had 1.8 billion UK visits in the first eight months of 2025, nearly five times the same period in 2024 (Ofcom Online Nation 2025).

Ofcom, 10 December 2025

Global

Worldwide. Google's own figure. No UK split.

2.5 billion

Google says AI Overviews has over 2.5 billion monthly active users worldwide (Google, May 2026).

Google, 19 May 2026

US

US adults, March 2025.

8% and 15%

In a US study, Google users clicked a regular result on 8% of visits when an AI summary appeared, against 15% without one, and clicked a link inside the summary only 1% of the time (Pew Research Center, 2025).

Pew Research Center, 22 July 2025

Desktop click-through rates, December 2025 against December 2023. Ahrefs doesn't state the country; treat as mainly US. An SEO tool maker's own data. A correlation, not a result for any client.

58% fewer

Ahrefs found the top-ranking page gets about 58% fewer clicks when an AI Overview appears (Ahrefs, Feb 2026).

Questions

What is AEO?

AEO is answer engine optimisation. It is the work of structuring those pages so an answer engine has a clear, accurate source to quote.

How fast do results come?

It depends on the business, the pages, and the tools that choose what to show. We do not promise a place in search results, a traffic figure, or a mention in any answer engine. Nobody can promise a place in Google or in an AI answer.

Is there a contract, and can we leave?

An audit is one piece of work, with nothing to sign up to after it. Retainers have a 3-month minimum, with a month-1 break: if any output named in your scope letter isn't delivered by the end of month 1, you can end by email within 10 working days and owe nothing for months 2 and 3. After that, a retainer runs month to month on 30 days' notice (60 days for 5 to 9 sites or locations), with no exit fees.

Our own work: margolegal.com is Hamza's own business, Margo Legal Ltd. It is not a client.

Hamza built and runs margolegal.com. On it he has published plain-English guides to new rules and guidance, linked related guides to each other, added structured data describing the business, and kept the sitemap, robots.txt and llms.txt file up to date for search engines and AI assistants.

Every site is different.
